  3. Recently some quark xpress demo files were uploaded. However,
  4. because of the way they were archived, it might be impossible to make a
  5. running executable out of them. The demo disks come in a set of three
  6. 3.5" HD disks and I assume the installer program is based on that fact.

  84. What I would suggest is to unzip all the files into a directory and then
  85. load up the three disks as above. To install, put disk 1 in, go into windows, 
  86. go to the program manager, select file, select run, if your disk is in drive
  87. a: type in a:install (b:install or whatever your drive letter is), and then
  88. follow the instructions.

  90. According to a blurb that came with the demo, there are are some limitations 
  91. to the demo version:
  92.  
  93. 1. Saved files cannot be opened by any version of Quark except the demo 
  94.    version (so they say).
  95.  
  96. 2. Printouts are limited to a maximum of five pages.
  97.  
  98. 3. All output will contain the words "QuarkXPress Demo."
  99.  
  100. I have a workaround for #3 if you are using postscript. When printing, print
  101. the file to disk, and go in and edit the PS file and delete the above words.
  102. You will then have a clean printout.
